Start Working

The most straightforward option is to enter the workforce in your field. Your vocational qualifications and practical skills gained during Ausbildung are highly valued by employers. As you climb the success ladder, these skills will serve you well.

Pursue Further Vocational Training

Consider continuing your education through advanced vocational training (known as “Aufstiegsfortbildung”). Attend specialized workshops, seminars, or courses to enhance your professional skills. This can lead to promotions or better job prospects.

We find suitable apprenticeships for trainees from foreign countries and at desired locations. But we will be with you through the application process. If you have children or a spouse we will do our best to make an apprenticeship possible with your family. In this regard, we will try to find a job or apprenticeship for your spouse.

There is no age limit. In some occupations - e.g. Nursing Care - Applicants over the age of 40 are rare. However, you should note that as a foreigner you will be able to learn in vocational school with German students, who are usually between the ages of 16 and 25.

At the beginning of the training you must speak German at least at the B1 level. You can already apply if you have a German A2 command. You will need a B2 level German for nursing care training.

Certificate from selected organization is not required. Applicants can apply with certificates from all institutions - including foreign local language schools or teachers from abroad. However you may be required to provide proof of your German command at the interview and during the visa application

Foreigners can use the services of agencies such as Life-in-Germany.de or apply directly to German companies. However we do recommend using our free services as it includes consultations regarding your application documents. Apply as soon as possible on our page below, even if you can't speak German at B1 level or if you haven't finished your schooling yet. The earlier you apply, the better your chances of finding a best training place in Germany!

If you are a non-EU applicant you need a visa before you can start yourstudentship.

Depending on the country of origin of the applicant, there is a possibility of permanent employment in Germany after the training. German companies are interested in getting permanent employment for most applicants and will usually offer you a very goodjob.

Studentships are offered twice in each year. They start in April or September only.
