About TEST-AS

The Test AS (Test für Ausländische Studierende) is a voluntary standardized aptitude test designed to assess the cognitive and intellectual abilities of international students seeking admission to bachelor’s programmes in German universities.
PURPOSE
  • Evaluates your general academic aptitude and is not an IQ test.
  • It has been used since 2007 to assist in university applications and approvals.
  • The result can help gain admission into a German university but it is not mandatory requirement.
FORMAT
  • There are 2 formats of Test AS, digital and paper-based.
  • Both formats verify the same skills and abilities and place the same demands on participants.
  • It measures academic aptitude in various areas, including mathematics, scientific reasoning, language, and text comprehension.
PREPARATION
  • Consider using study materials and practice tests available online.
  • Familiarize yourself with the test structure and content to perform well on the exam.
  • Questions are based on the subjects studied in 11th and 12th grade in India.
  • The test is conducted in English.
